Our Story

From Park to Passion

Discover how a group of bachata lovers transformed outdoor park dancing during COVID into Geneva's most vibrant Latin dance community and premier festival.

The Beginning - 2021

When COVID-19 forced dance studios to close their doors, our passion for bachata couldn't be contained. In 2021, a small group of dedicated dancers took to Geneva's parks, determined to keep the rhythm alive under the open sky.

What started as informal outdoor sessions quickly grew into something magical. Word spread throughout Geneva's dance community, and soon dozens of dancers were gathering weekly in parks across the city, sharing their love for bachata while maintaining safe social distancing.

Our First Mission

"Keep the bachata community connected and dancing, no matter the circumstances."

Becoming an Association

As our community grew from park gatherings to indoor studios, we made the decision to formalize Bachata Geneva as a non-profit association. This wasn't just about legal structure—it was about our commitment to putting community before profit.
